We have all heard the old adage about our money and earthly possessions: “You can’t take it with you.” While this is true—you certainly cannot physically take it with you to heaven—your wealth here on earth can have eternal value.
Introducing the RENEWANATION Legacy Society…
The Office of Development at RENEWANATION offers the Legacy Society as one way to thank donors who have made a gift to RENEWANATION for the future through planned and estate gifts.
The Legacy Society is open to any individual, family or corporation who has made provisions for RENEWANATION through a variety of estate planning tools such as bequests in a will or trust, charitable remainder trusts, pooled income funds or gifts of life insurance. Members of this recognition society receive periodic updates on the vision of RENEWANATION and a certificate of membership.
Donors who have included RENEWANATION in their estate plans should notify the RENEWANATION office. That is the only way RENEWANATION will know about the gifts and be able to say “thank you.” Recognition of one gift may well inspire generosity in others.
Only a statement of intent to leave a gift to RENEWANATION is required. No documentation of a gift amount or type is necessary. Legacy Society members may designate the use of the distributions from their future gifts, or may leave the distributions to the discretion of the RENEWANATION Board of Directors. A Legacy Society gift may be used to establish a new fund or may be added to any of the existing funds.
Letting RENEWANATION know of their intentions does not create any obligation on the donors’ part, but it does help RENEWANATION communicate information which may be relevant to its planned gifts. If a donor chooses to remain anonymous, be assured that RENEWANATION will honor those wishes.
A donor’s future gift will one day be realized. That gift will help to further the vision of RENEWANATION—to offer every child a Christian worldview education. Now that is a gift with eternal value!
