Yesterday I heard a story that reinforces my commitment to the vision of RENEWANATION.   The story involves a pastor, a concerned mother, a teacher in the school cafeteria and a child in a public school kindergarten.  It was the pastor who told me the story.

The mother recently gave her heart and life to Jesus Christ.  That started a sequence of events that positively affected the entire family.  A beautiful wedding took place.  Her two young sons now had both a mom and a dad.  Prayer and bible reading became common at home.  Family conversations often centered on how they could better live their lives so that they would not offend God or others around them.  Language changed.  Attitudes changed.  Life was good!

Sometimes mom would go to school to have lunch with her son.  Just as they had begun to do at home, they would bow their heads together and give thanks to God for His blessing and for the food they were about to eat.  But one day this week, mom was unable to visit.

Understanding what he had been taught at home, her son bowed his head as he sat at lunch with his classmates and quietly thanked God for his food.  He was startled when he was quickly and forcibly reprimanded by a teacher who told him that he was never to pray at school again.  She then threatened to set him aside from all the other children if he ever did.

The mother, speaking to her pastor about the incident said, “I just wish I could afford to put my boys in a Christian school”.

Here is the good news!

It won’t be long and many a parent like this mom will be able to enroll their children in quality Christian schools across America.  It will happen because people across this great country understand the importance that our children receive a Christian world view.  And many will join with RENEWANATION by giving of their wealth, wisdom and work to see that this vision becomes a reality.

Would you take a moment right now to pray for families who find themselves in a similar dilemma?

Then, would you take a moment to contact RENEWANATION and make a commitment that will make a difference for a child?
